Wolverine Building Group, a leading commercial construction firm headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan, announced today the promotions of Daniel Zilzer and Daniel Escobar-Bercini.

Zilzer, adding three years at Wolverine to his 17 years of design -build experience prior, has been promoted to Senior Project Manager. In his new role, Daniel will be continuing his execution of design-build projects with Wolverine, as well as work with custom-engineered metal buildings dedicated to expanding operations for manufacturing leaders. This work on the 200,000 square-foot Trailer Xpress’ Headquarters was recognized with a nomination for 2023 ABC EIC Award. His talents were quickly noted as leadership observed his exceptional problem solving, strategic thinking and natural ability to win over clients and trade partners.
Bercini-Escobar, who has been with Wolverine Building Group for four years and in the field for 10, has been promoted to Project Manager II. In his advancing role, Bercini-Escobar will be responsible for overseeing the high-profile multi-family project in Petoskey, Michigan, Lofts at Lumber Square. He received accolades for his work on complex projects such as Disability Advocates of Kent County, winning an Associated Builders and Contractors of Western Michigan (ABCWM) Excellence in Construction (EIC) Award. Daniel’s work on community assets such as Blythefield Country Club, Trinity Health Grand Rapids’ Roosevelt Park Pharmacy, Treetops Collective have gathered high praise from colleagues and clients. Notably, he has been able to secure increased diverse business partners to participate in project construction, an essential pillar of Wolverine’s construction leadership.
