Marlboro Development Team, Inc. (MDT) is pleased to announce the election of Julie Pruett, CEcD, Development Manager, to the Board of Directors of the North Carolina Economic Development Association (NCEDA). As the state's premier economic development coalition, NCEDA serves as the voice for North Carolina's economic development community while promoting the state as an ideal destination for business growth. Pruett's appointment to this volunteer board commenced on July 1, 2023, and will span a three-year term.

"Julie's appointment is a reflection of her hard work and dedication throughout her career. Pruett joined MDT with over 24 years of experience in economic development in the Charlotte region of North Carolina. She works to expand Marlboro Development Team's presence in North Carolina within the industrial real estate development sector. She obtained the internationally recognized designation of Certified Economic Developer in 2009. She holds a Master of Public Administration degree from Appalachian State University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Lenoir-Rhyne University. Additionally, Pruett is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma Economic Development Institute.
