Aureon has awarded $12,000 in scholarships to nine Iowa high school students pursuing technology and STEM-related education at colleges, universities and trade schools across the state.
The scholarships were awarded through two annual programs. The Aureon ITC Scholarship Program supports students from communities served by Iowa Independent Telecommunications Companies who plan to pursue STEM-related fields. The Aureon Scholarship for Technology Students supports students pursuing technology-focused education.
“Every year, we see Iowa students whose talent and drive will power the state’s technology future,” says George O’Neal, CEO of Aureon. “By investing in their STEM education today, we’re strengthening the communities and businesses we serve across Iowa.”
Recipients of the 2026 Aureon ITC Scholarship Program include Christopher Gebhardt of Guttenberg, $3,000; Kayley Dirks of Atkins, $2,000; Micah Loutsch of Le Mars, $2,000; Tyler Wanat of Gowrie, $1,000; Miley Trumm of Cascade, $1,000; and Aiden Cooper of Cantril, $1,000.
