JK2 Construction is once again celebrating its leaders’ journeys “From the Swamp to Success” after being recognized by the University of Florida. The Apopka-based general contractor has been named to the Gator100 list for the sixth time. The awards recognize the 100 fastest growing businesses in the world that are led by the alumni of the University of Florida.

“It’s always an honor to be recognized for growing our business,” said Dan Shaffer, Director of Pre-Construction/CFO at JK2 Construction. “It’s especially meaningful to be recognized by the institution that helped shape our leadership and business values. “The Gator100 honorees are chosen and ranked based on compound annual growth rate over a three-year period. The companies must have revenues of $250,000 or more every year from 2022 through 2024 and must have been in continuous business for five years as of October 31, 2025. The company must be Gator owned or led by a UF alumni who served as a chief executive from January 1, 2022 to October 31, 2025. Hundreds of companies apply for this honor each year.
