FK Architecture, a Fugleberg Koch Company, has completed the buildout of Vintage Lake Mary, a $71-million luxury apartment community located in Orlando’s northern suburbs. Buildings 1 and Building 2 have been completed by general contractor TDK Construction of Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

Vintage Lake Mary encompasses 310 elevator-accessible units in studio, one- and two-bedroom plans. On-site amenities include structured and surface parking, a resort-style pool, fitness centers, as well as a pet park and “spa.” In-room conveniences entail sunrooms and balconies, an in-unit washer and dryer, maple cabinets, and modern stainless steel appliances.

FK Senior Project Designer Rafael Marquez noted that the design motif for Vintage Lake Mary entails a harmoniousness that is achieved thanks to applying varying textures and patterns meant to be pleasing to the eye.

“More than ever, people want their ‘housing’ to be a comfortable space, so we have carefully applied a design aesthetic that we believe is both comforting and welcoming,” said Marquez. “Because home, office, and ‘living’ are so often now all in the same space, it is our intention to bring all such potential uses within Vintage Lake Mary together as one.”

The complex also boasts a clubhouse with multiple flatscreen TVs, a coffee bar, a shuffleboard court, video games, and a pool table. The interior leads seamlessly to the central outdoor pool area, which will be shaded at certain times of the day by the surrounding living quarters.

FK personnel walked through Vintage Lake Mary in May as part of a company-wide property tour. Jim Kelley, Project Lead at the design firm, praised the development as emblematic of the new paradigm regarding the work-life balance that becomes a reality in such intelligently engineered spaces.

“FK Architecture aims to reinvent the way people live, work, and play—particularly here in Central Florida,” Kelley said. “We are listening to our partners’ input of the past several years and designing our newer projects accordingly.”
