Werner Electric Supply’s new regional distribution center and headquarters in Appleton has been recognized for being one of the most extraordinary construction projects in Wisconsin in 2016. The project received the Gold Projects of Distinction Award from the Associated Builders & Contractors (ABC) of Wisconsin in the industrial projects over $3 million category. The project was constructed by Consolidated Construction Co., Inc. and completed in May 2016.
“The intensity of the evaluation process by judges is an indicator of how deserving the winners are,” John Mielke, ABC of Wisconsin president, said. “There are many criteria used in the process, with the biggest being onsite safety, unusual circumstances or challenges, and the overall quality of construction delivered to the customer.”
The Projects of Distinction Award recognizes the most impressive projects across Wisconsin.  Projects are awarded based on eight criteria, including safety, craftsmanship, execution and coordination, budgeting, scheduling, difficult and unusual challenges, owner and architect satisfaction, and overall distinctiveness.
