Vibrant Awnings Novotel Miami Brickell Rooftop Bar

Check out a recently completed project, the Novotel Miami Brickell rooftop bar, which features custom-colored awnings from leading composite fabric designer and manufacturer, Serge Ferrari.

Inspired by the sun and sand motif of the local Miami culture, the vibrant awnings were used to create a seamless transition from the beach to the bar.

The design team, BHDM Design, turned to Serge Ferrari and their fully-customizable Flexlight® Perform 502S2 material to perfectly execute their vision for the space. The Flexlight fabric bridged the existing framework of the rooftop with the updated design intent by adding a pop of color, while also providing UV protection for the space.

The Flexlight product is crafted with Precontraint® technology, a unique process where the material is tensioned in both warp and weft, ensuring long-lasting quality that will not stretch. Durability was a top priority for the team due to the natural elements at play in Miami, including intense heat and hurricanes. The color will not fade and the material will not stretch, all while creating a stylish and welcoming oasis.
