Vantage Builders, Inc., a commercial contractor specializing in pre-construction, construction management and design-build services, hosted its third annual Vantage Builders fore Charity Golf Classic tournament, with 92 golfers taking part in the shotgun tournament held at Franklin Country Club on August 12.
This year’s tournament raised a remarkable $35,000 for a cause that is very close to the firm. The proceeds are helping to fund a 529 education savings plan that was established to support the son of long-time Vantage teammate Tim Yarnell, who tragically and unexpectedly passed away earlier this year. A devoted husband and father, dedicated family man and friend, Tim was one of Vantage Builders’ Superintendents, a role he held for 12 years. He was also an amazing athlete in wrestling, baseball and football, and an avid golfer.
“Tim was one of the nicest, funniest people to work at Vantage and everyone at the firm misses him a great deal,” said Ed Silva, principal, Vantage Builders. “The day was bittersweet: we missed Tim on the course this year, but we were truly humbled by the tremendous display of support that was shown for the Yarnell family. We cannot thank the donors and golfers enough for their generosity.”
“Tim really loved being part of the Vantage family and he made so many good friends at the company and throughout the construction industry,” said Mandy Yarnell, Tim’s wife. “He truly would have been blown away by the generosity of everyone involved with the tournament, as I certainly am. I’d like to thank everyone involved from the bottom of my heart.”
