Commercial plumbing and foodservice products manufacturer T&S Brass and Bronze Works announces the hiring of Andrew Clayton as general manager of their operations in Shanghai, China. Clayton has a background in manufacturing and labor relations as well as an in-depth knowledge of the Asian foodservice industry. Most recently at Scotsman Ice Systems as managing director of the company’s Shanghai operations, Clayton was also general administration manager for the Asia Pacific division of Enodis PLC and spent more than a decade as a practicing attorney and professor of law.
“The thing I am most looking forward to in this new role,” says Clayton, “is making sure that the T&S reputation for quality is not only maintained, but enhanced. T&S has been very successful in the China market and I want to take that success to the next level.”
Clayton will report to T&S Vice President of Manufacturing Clay White and T&S Vice President of Global Sales Ken Gallagher. Says Gallagher, “Andy’s background is an ideal fit for this position and his familiarity with the culture and the industry give him a distinct advantage. We’re excited about putting his sales and marketing strategies to work as our presence in the Asian market continues to grow.”
T&S’s Shanghai facility operates not only as a manufacturing location, but also as the company’s sales headquarters and customer service center for China. An ISO 9001-2008-certified operation, its products meet the same standards as those manufactured within the United States.
