T.J. Maxx, Marshalls and HomeGoods parent TJX Cos. is in growth mode with ambitious plans to expand from 3,700 to 5,600 off-price stores over the next few years. TJX boasts higher sales per square foot than many of its full-price rivals, and it is moving forward with growth plans while full-price department stores are closing underperforming locations.
