Subway has launched an $80 million store refresh program dubbed Fresh Now that includes new employee uniforms, clearer menu boards and new stations featuring sauces, spices and beverages. The new format is being tested at 480 U.S. stores, and Subway is splitting the cost of the changes with vendors and advertising funds paid by franchisees.
