StructSure Scaffold & Insulation accepts three 2013 Zero Injury Safety Awards presented by The National Maintenance Agreements Policy Committee (NMAPC) in recognition of work hours performed with zero recordable injuries for NMAPC projects. The awards were received by Walt Hatfield, President and CEO of MHS Legacy Group; Jim Ryan, General Manager of StructSure Scaffold & Insulation; and Jeff Montgomery, Corporate Safety Director of MHS Legacy Group.
“We are incredibly honored to receive this award recognizing outstanding work safety with zero injuries,” said Jim Ryan. “This is a significant safety award program in the construction industry, requiring a number of critical safety program elements to be met. Through a team approach and a conscious safety focus, StructSure was able to meet the criteria for this award.”
The NMAPC Zero Injury Safety Award (ZISA) is open to all contractors, industrial business owners/clients and building trade crafts on a single project for a single identified owner/client performed under the terms of the National Maintenance Agreements or National Power Generation Maintenance Agreements program. To qualify for the ZISA, each company project must have zero OSHA recordable injuries. The program was created to recognize world-class safety, as it is a fundamental component of the NMAPC system of multilateral governance.
The ZISA Gala was held on October 23, 2014, at the National Building Museum in Washington D.C.
StructSure Scaffold & Insulation was nominated for this award based on their work with American Electric Power and Tri-State Building Trades Councils on projects at Big Sandy, John Amos and Waterford power plants. This marks the second year that the company has received three ZISA awards.
In 2012, StructSure Scaffold & Insulation received three Zero Injury Safety Awards by the National Maintenance Agreements Policy Committee for sustaining zero injuries on three projects totaling more than 233,000 work hours.
