STR: U.S. hotel rooms under construction up 19.3% in March

The U.S. lodging market had 320,750 rooms in its development pipeline in March, with a 19.3 percent increase in the number of rooms under construction compared with the same period last year, STR reports. On a regional basis, the Asia-Pacific region had the most rooms in its pipeline, with 385,043 rooms in 1,788 hotel projects. Read the TravelPulse story here.
