A petition to build a $1.7 billion football stadium to be shared by southern California’s San Diego Chargers and the Oakland Raiders has received enough signatures to send the proposal to city hall in Carson, near Los Angeles. Strong support for the project is due to the large number of jobs it is expected to create. A second NFL stadium is also being planned in nearby Inglewood.
