SOPREMA Acquires New ABAA Listings

SOPREMA Inc. is proud to announce that three of its air and vapor barrier wall systems received both the ASTM E2178 and ASTM E2357 listings from the Air Barrier Association of America (ABAA).
“We are proud to be offering products that comply with ABAA requirements. These ABAA standards help ensure we’re providing the highest quality products to our customers,” said Jack Garnett, Market Development Manager for Wall Systems, SOPREMA. “Our innovative products and systems are so unique that for our SOPRASEAL® Xpress G system ABAA created a new category called Factory Bonded Membranes to Sheathing. SOPREMA is currently the only manufacturer listed in this category.
The testing of an air barrier material for air leakage is completed in accordance with ASTM E2178 Standard Test Method for Air Permeance of Building Materials. The testing of an air barrier assembly for air leakage is completed in accordance with ASTM E2357 Standard Test Method for Determining Air Leakage of Air Barrier Assemblies.
The SOPREMA wall products and systems that are ABAA-listed include:
SOPRASEAL Stick VP®, a self-adhered, vapor-permeable air barrier membrane
SOPRASEAL® 1100T, a self-adhered air, vapor and rain barrier membrane for vertical walls
SOPRASEAL® Xpress G a unique composite material comprised of an exterior grade, inorganic faced gypsum board with an air and vapor barrier factory applied to the exterior surface

Georgia DOT joins 11 states requiring e-Ticketing in 2026

The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) has launched a statewide e-Ticketing initiative—starting in 2026, all contractors will be required to use e-Ticketing under Section 110 of GDOT specifications. As a first step, GDOT has implemented a dual-ticketing pilot—TruckIT, which requires both paper and electronic tickets.
