Skilken Gold, a leading national real estate developer, announces the appointment of Tobi Skilken Gold as the company’s new chief executive officer. The granddaughter of company founder Morris Skilken, Tobi is the first female CEO in the company’s 100-year history. She takes over from husband Ken Gold, who served as CEO since 2010 and will become the company’s first Chief Growth Officer.

Tobi has served as President of Skilken Gold since 2012, and in this role, she led the company toward a new vision – one that is positioning the company to meet the marketplace changes and opportunities of today and tomorrow, while maintaining the core values and solid national reputation of Skilken Gold.

In her new role as CEO, Tobi will manage all aspects of the business, including accountability, organizational management and growth. She will continuously seek to improve how the company serves clients, such as Sheetz and Publix, and meet the demands of the changing realities of retail clients and their real estate development needs.

“I’m honored to lead Skilken Gold into the future. As I child I watched as leadership of the family business transitioned from my grandfather to my father, and in 2010 from my father to Ken,” said Tobi. “I am dedicated to keeping the legacy of family business alive as we grow and diversify, build a progressive 21st century company culture, serve clients and strive to leave the communities we work in better than we found them.”

After 11 years as Chief Executive Officer of Skilken Gold, Ken Gold is transitioning to a new role within the company as Chief Growth Officer. In this newly created role, Ken will focus on identifying and cultivating growth opportunities that broaden the company’s scope and footprint. Ken will remain a member of the Skilken Gold leadership team and will teach, coach and mentor talent within the organization.

“I am thrilled to hand over the CEO reigns to Tobi,” said Ken. “This is a positive transition for our company, and the timing is right. We finished 2021 very strong, and I look forward to working alongside Tobi to usher in our 100th year in business in 2022 with positive momentum.”
