EBA Engineering, Inc. (EBA) has named Joseph J. Siemek, PE, Vice President and head of the firm’s Water Systems Engineering Department.
An experienced sanitary, environmental, and utility engineering professional with a demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams of technical staff, Siemek will be responsible for program management, project execution, and quality assurance for EBA’s water and wastewater systems projects.
“Joe combines strong engineering and business skills with a proven, 35-year track record of successfully analyzing project and regulatory requirements; developing innovative, cost-effective solutions; and building strong technical teams,” says EBA President Rizwan Siddiqi, PE.
Siemek has provided water, wastewater, solid waste, telecommunications, gas, electric, and environmental consulting services to a wide range of government and private clients. The author of numerous technical programs at local, regional, and national conferences, he possesses expertise in facilities planning, evaluation, design, program management, and construction of utilities and public works infrastructure.
Siemek’s varied project experience includes serving as: Project Manager for dozens of on-call and project-specific contracts for water, wastewater, and utility facilities throughout the Mid-Atlantic; Project Director for engineering and construction of 400 miles of the Inter-County Broadband Network in Central Maryland; and Program Manager for the Conduit Occupancy and Asset Management Program for more than 700 miles of underground conduit infrastructure in Baltimore City.
A resident of Bel Air, Maryland, Siemek earned his bachelor’s degree in engineering science, with a concentration in environmental engineering, from The Johns Hopkins University. He received his master’s degree in business administration from Loyola University Maryland. He is a licensed professional engineer in Maryland and Virginia.
