Schönox announced that Todd Gates has joined the company as Vice President of Sales and Business Development for the Western United States.  Gates will be based in Las Vegas, NV furthering the development of distribution and support opportunities for Schönox across one of the fastest growing mega regions for the company.  “I am delighted that Todd has joined us bringing his strategic knowledge and insights to Schönox,” commented Doug Young, Executive Vice President, HPS Schönox.  “Todd’s extensive experience in the LVT flooring sector pairs so well with our Schönox products which are ideal for use with the resilient category and others where subfloor preparation is even more critical to installation success.”
Todd Gates was most recently with Karndean USA as Vice President and served on the executive management board where he was a founding member of the company in charge of sales, distribution, exports, and technical support.  “This is an exciting time for me with the Schönox organization,” remarked Gates.  “We have the feel of a startup company with strong entrepreneurial spirit with the benefit of a seasoned, 120 year old company behind us.”  Before his 19 year tenure with Karndean, Gates worked in a variety of management positions of increasing responsibility in the building services and commercial & retail flooring areas.  Gates also served in the US Navy.
“Todd’s expertise in the flooring industry, his work ethic, and dedication are already leading us to rethink our goals with higher targets and broader planning,” explained Thomas Trissl, Principal, HPS Schönox.  “Todd joined us just in time to participate in our first annual Schönox Strategic Planning Conference where his insights were a welcome addition to our presentations and discussions with the entire US distribution team.”  In addition to his work in the Western US, Gates will be utilizing his experiences and distribution knowledge to develop opportunities in Latin America.
Outside of the office, Todd enjoys spending time with his wife, Andrea, two sons, and one daughter.  His interests are varied ranging from classic American car restoration to a Level 5 Master certification in coaching USA hockey and extend further to scuba diving, bicycling, and golf.
