Rosendin, the nation’s largest employee-owned electrical contracting company, is proud to support STACK Infrastructure’s community service efforts through the 20th annual Heroes of the Sea Events in Oregon. The two-day charity event raises hundreds of thousands of dollars in support of the Pacific Northwest Chief Warrant Officers Association’s tireless efforts. The event, which raised more than $320K for the nonprofit organization, took place on the Columbia River in Astoria, Oregon, on August 18 and 19.
The Chief Warrant Officers Association represents and aids more than 2,500 United States Coast Guard warrant and chief warrant officers who are active-duty, reserve, and retired, as well as their families (CWOA). The trans-Pacific submarine cables in Oregon are vital to data centers, and the Pacific Northwest Chapter and its members protect them by patrolling the coastline. That is why Rosendin sponsored the event for the fifth consecutive year, contributing $50,000 as a silver sponsor to the association. With the donation from this year, Rosendin’s contributions since 2017 have totaled nearly $250,000.
“Rosendin is appreciative of the chance to continue taking part in the Heroes of the Sea Events to recognize and raise funds for the US Coast Guard. We are grateful for the veterans who display honesty, tenacity, and aptitude for problem-solving in order to protect the mission-critical operations of data centers,” said Brett Strohlein, Rosendin’s NW Region Mission Critical Market Lead.
The Heroes of the Sea Salmon Derby featured 20 boats this year, and over 540 lbs. of salmon were caught. Rosendin was the event’s silver sponsor, along with EE Reed. Other sponsors included Holder Construction Group, Gibson, Apollo, Southland, Caterpillar, Modius, and a number of other companies.
Rosendin is one of the nation’s leading design-build electrical construction companies, specializing in the design and construction of secure, energy-efficient data centers with dependable electrical power and communications solutions. Rosendin’s portfolio includes complex mission-critical data center facilities for some of the world’s largest high-tech, social media, and co-location corporations.
