RMF Engineering, a leader in full-service MEP engineering, today announced the addition of three new shareholders in the company: Conrad Hertz, PE, Greg Hudson, PE, and Dustin Barrall, PE.

“Inviting Conrad, Greg, and Dustin to become shareholders in our firm is a reflection of the diligence to client stewardship, quality work, sound judgment, and collaborative leadership that underpins RMF’s success. I am grateful for each of their contributions to our culture and business throughout their time at the firm and look forward to seeing where their futures will take us,” says Ken Pitz, CEO and President of RMF.

Hertz, PE, has led the Boston office through significant growth and change as Division Manager. Since joining the firm in 2020, Hertz has demonstrated exceptional ability in the simultaneous balance of providing the highest level of client service while cultivating the talents of a multidisciplinary team. In 2023, RMF Boston hit its stride with Hertz at the forefront––relocating to a larger workspace to support the continued expansion of the office, which has grown to a staff of 14. Hertz’s proven reputation as a trusted engineer and strategic project manager has advanced the firm’s portfolio across New England with numerous higher education, governmental, and campus projects –– many of which he leads in partnership with building and utility engineering teams from RMF’s other office locations to deliver holistic design solutions. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Vermont and a Master of Business Administration, International Business from The Fletcher School at Tufts University.

Since joining RMF in 2010, Hudson, PE, CHC, HFDP, has emerged as a key member of the Charleston, South Carolina Buildings team. Hudson’s technical experience in mechanical engineering is matched by a collaborative, agile spirit that enables him to work skillfully across a wide variety of project types. This dexterity has helped to strengthen RMF’s long-standing relationships with leading higher education and healthcare clients in the region, focusing much of his work on tailoring data-backed building solutions to drive greater campus performance. Hudson has opened opportunities to explore new technologies for building modeling and automation and is active in RMF’s healthcare practice. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Clemson University and a Master of Business Administration from the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina.

Barrall, PE, joined RMF’s Baltimore office in 2013 and has since become one of the firm’s leading electric power system analysts. His specialized experience has played a role in RMF’s growth of a new market sector in Power System Analysis, as well as in the firm’s ongoing broader campus electrification and decarbonization efforts. Barrall also leads all pursuits involving electric power work in the Midwest, partnering with engineers in the Columbus, Ohio office to support ongoing projects for prominent, regional clients. Barrall holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland College Park.

“All of RMF’s owners, who all work in the firm, are equally invested in its collective success and growth. We attribute the strides we have made to that shared commitment and look forward to another great year with Conrad, Greg, and Dustin as part of this group,” says Pitz.
