The Tampa-based law firm of Gardner Brewer Martinez-Monfort, P.A. is pleased to announce that all of the firm’s partner attorneys have been recognized in both the prestigious Florida Trend Magazine Legal Elite and in Thompson Reuters Super Lawyers for 2016.
The firm’s leaders are especially pleased, as more than half the attorneys at the firm have won such awards for multiple years in a row. The growing firm is involved in some of the Tampa Bay area’s highest-profile development, business and litigation matters. Among them are redevelopment of the Colonnade property, the SkyHouse and Crescent Bayshore projects, Channelside Residences and many new Wawa and other retail user locations throughout Florida.
GBMM is also co-lead plaintiff’s counsel in a ground-breaking lawsuit representing the Environmental Protection Commission of Hillsborough County against Volkswagen over its fraudulent use of devices designed to defeat emissions tests.

  • Christopher W. Brewer was recognized again by Florida Trend Legal Elite and Super Lawyers in 2016. He is a founding partner who specializes in real estate and corporate matters, including representation of developers, investors, landlords and tenants in all aspects of real estate development, financing, and leasing matters, as well as lenders and borrowers in a wide range of financing and loan transactions.  As well, he has been awarded the “AV” rating by Martindale-Hubbell, which is the highest designation by the leading lawyer rating service.
  • Stephen Gardner was recognized by peer recognition and professional achievementFlorida Trend Legal Elite and Super Lawyers in 2016.  This is Steve’s 10th year on the Super Lawyers list. He is a founding partner who focuses on a wide range of real estate law, including development, condominium and homeowner association law, project financing, probate and wills and estates law. Through an extensive career in law, he helped found the Bush Ross Gardner Warren & Rudy firm in Tampa in 1981 and has been awarded the “AV” rating by Martindale-Hubbell.
  • Truett Gardner was recognized by Florida Trend Legal Elite and Super Lawyers in 2016. He is a founding partner who focuses in the areas of land use and zoning, alcoholic beverage licensing and governmental relations, and he has received the “AV” rating by Martindale-Hubbell. Besides practicing law, Truett personally developed a mixed-use project in downtown Tampa and participated in several large-scale projects in Tampa metro area.
  • Luis Martinez-Monfort was recognized again by Florida Trend Legal Elite and Super Lawyers in 2016. He is a founding partner who concentrates his practice in real estate, commercial, and bankruptcy litigation matters.  He holds an “AV” rating by Martindale-Hubbell, which is the highest designation by the leading lawyer rating service.
  • Keith W. Meehan, an associate at the firm, was recognized by Super Lawyers 2016 in the “Rising Stars” section. He focuses on real estate, commercial and bankruptcy litigation matters.
