REDCOM celebrates Grand Opening of new office

On December 1st, REDCOM Design & Construction LLC celebrated the Grand Opening of its new headquarters with an Open House event and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. Westfield Mayor, Andy Skibitsky, and State Senator, Thomas Kean Jr., were in attendance, in addition members of the Somerset County Business Partnership and family and friends of the company. REDCOM designed and renovated the facility, which formerly housed a car dealership on North Avenue in Westfield, NJ. The renovated, 9,575 sq. ft. facility features a mezzanine and an outdoor piazza.
Several REDCOM employees were involved in both the design and construction phases of the project including: Freddy Cuba – Architectural Designer, Magdalena Krejza R.A., LEED AP - Project Architect, Sophie Lubin – Interior Designer, John Manilio P.E. – VP of Engineering, Roberto Martinez R.A., LEED AP - VP of Architecture, Keith Meehan – Project Manager, Michele Modestino R.A. – Project Architect, Greg Redington P.E., P.P. – President and Walt Schaffer – Site Superintendent.
“This project has been years in the making,” said Redington. “Our dedicated team members worked tirelessly on this facility, resulting in a truly unique and innovative space that allows our employees to work collaboratively and efficiently.”
The move marks another big step for the company, which has undergone a period of substantial growth in the last decade. With more than 80 employees in three locations (Westfield, NJ, Floral Park, NY and Manhattan), REDCOM has become the go-to design-build contractor in the tristate area, specializing in commercial projects such as: auto dealerships, private schools, warehouses, industrial facilities, places of worship, mixed-use/retail centers and breweries.
“Our office now properly reflects that of a multi-million-dollar company,” said Dave Gasson, VP of Operations for REDCOM. “We are very excited for clients, prospects, business partners, subcontractors, friends and family to visit our new space.”
Formerly, REDCOM operated out of two offices in Westfield, but now all of the company’s New Jersey employees work under the same roof.
“It will definitely help with internal communication on our projects,” said John Cannata, Executive Vice President of REDCOM. “There’s also much more space for our employees to gather and review construction drawings and plans or hold project meetings. It’s a big step for us and we’re very proud of our new home.”
Established in 1982, REDCOM Design & Construction LLC is a multi-faceted design/build company headquartered in Westfield, NJ. Single source responsibility, qualified in-house professionals, and experienced project managers have enabled REDCOM to design, receive approvals, and construct many diversified facilities.
