VF Law, a full-service law firm headquartered in Lake Oswego, Oregon, is pleased to announce that Rafel Law Group, including Managing Partner Anthony L. Rafel, Partner Timothy S. Feth, and their talented staff, has joined VF Law, opening VF Law’s new office in Seattle. Rafel Law Group is a Seattle-based law firm founded in 2005 focusing on real estate law and litigation, with special emphasis on representing condominium and homeowner associations.
Rafel is a seasoned trial lawyer who has been practicing in the Pacific Northwest for over 40 years. His legal background includes construction defect claims, commercial real estate litigation, insurance recovery actions, contract enforcement, product liability litigation, business torts, and more. Rafel also brings extensive experience counseling and representing HOAs and condominium associations on association governance, governing documents, enforcement, and dispute resolution.
Rafel earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Rochester. He obtained his Juris Doctor from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University, where he served as an editor of the Law Review. Rafel is a past president of the Washington State Community Associations Institute (WSCAI), where he founded the ADR Committee and launched the CAI National award-winning Chapter Mediation Program. He currently serves on its Legislative Action Committee. Rafel is also an esteemed fellow of the College of Community Association Lawyers (CCAL), an exclusive fraternity of community association attorneys dedicated to promoting the highest standards of professional and ethical responsibility in the practice of community association law. Rafel is a co-chair of CCAL’s Law Seminar Planning Committee and a member of CAI’s Amicus Curiae Review Committee. Rafel is a past President of the Federal Bar Association of the Western District of Washington and served as a court-appointed Lawyer Representative to the Ninth Circuit Judicial Conference.
Feth began his legal career in 2016 with Rafel Law Group and has represented community associations in nearly all aspects of general counsel and litigation, including governing document interpretation and amendment, covenant and rule enforcement, special assessment advice and documentation, uninsured expense allocation issues, contract review, and construction defect litigation. Feth earned his undergraduate degree from Central Washington University summa cum laude, and later obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Washington. Feth is a top-notch legal analyst and writer highly valued by his clients for the timely, practical, and direct advice he gives.
With the move, VF Law is excited to announce the opening of its newest office, in Seattle, Washington, where the Rafel Law Group team will commence operations with their new firm starting September 1. With offices in five states across the western United States, VF Law provides community association counsel, litigation, real estate and land use, construction law, insurance defense, corporate law, and estate planning services. The new VF Law office is located at One Union Square, 600 University Street, Suite 2520 in downtown Seattle, and will be overseen by VF Law Managing Partner, T. Beau Ellis.
