PERKINS EASTMAN’S NEW DALLAS OFFICE

The Board of Directors of top international design and architecture firm Perkins Eastman is pleased to announced the firm’s newest domestic office, in Dallas, Texas. The firm recently combined its practice with ForrestPerrkins, an international luxury hospitality and high-end residential interior design firm, which has had an office in Dallas since 1998. Perkins Eastman joins ForrestPerkins at its current location at 3131 Turtle Creek Blvd., establishing Perkins Eastman’s 15th global location and first in Texas.
Perkins Eastman Chairman Bradford Perkins FAIA noted: “The joining of our two firms brings several important benefits to our overall practice. It brings internationally recognized hospitality and luxury residential interior design leadership that complements and strengthens our growing hospitality, residential, senior living, and healthcare architectural practices. Moreover, after working on a wide variety of projects throughout Texas for many years, we finally have a base to better serve our many clients in the region. We look forward to building the Dallas office so that we can offer the firm’s full capabilities in Texas and the surrounding states.”
The office will be led by Principal Deborah Forrest FASID, ISHC, who joins the firm from ForrestPerkins and who will lead the luxury hospitality and residential interiors practice firmwide. As such, the Dallas office will continue to work in this practice area while also building on the established practice areas of the larger firm.
Current luxury hospitality projects in the Texas region include The St. Anthony, a Luxury Collection Hotel in San Antonio; the Sinclair Forth Worth Autograph Collection; and The Westin Downtown Dallas at One Main Place.
In addition to ForrestPerkins’s work in Texas, Perkins Eastman had, prior to the establishment of this office, worked on many projects for a diverse array of clientele throughout the state, including two projects for the C.C. Young assisted living retirement community in Dallas; the recently completed VIA Centro Plaza in San Antonio, a mixed-use transit facility that enhances the livability of its neighborhood; Houston Main Street Square, a three-block civic “room” that integrates light rail and transit implemented along the Main Street corridor; and Blue Skies of Texas (formerly named Air Force Villages), a repositioning of and additions to its retirement community facilities in San Antonio.
