Dead for nearly a decade, the long-dormant Allen Street hotel is coming back with a vengeance. Major construction resumed, and has been steady since last September. With opening now on the horizon, the battle for liquor licensing is here. The rescued lodge – rechristened The Allen by owner-hotelier Morris Kalimian (of Chelsea’s Hotel Henri) – will boast 98 guest rooms and multiple food-and-beverage venues across the seventeen floors.
