The Tailgate Alert works by sending a red signal that can be identified in the driver’s side mirror, alerting the driver that the tailgate was not raised and locked into place.
The Tailgate Alert fits all trucks including Ford, Chevy, GMC, RAM, and Toyota.  The system is easy to install, containing only three components that are securely affixed to the inside of the truck bad and the outer edge of the truck. The unit sends a quick signal within several seconds of the tailgate being opened as a red LED light begins to flash – when aligned with the driver’s mirror, this flash can be easily detected before driving away with any gear that’s unsecured.
The Tailgate Alert system runs off of two AA batteries which are included. The long-lasting LED bulb flashes yellow when it’s time to change the batteries. The unit has the option to be permanently attached to your vehicle with screws which are included. The Tailgate Alert system has a suggested retail price of $19.99.
