With the introduction of MAPEI Ultralite™ S1 Quick at the TISE West expo that was held in Las Vegas, Nevada, on January 19-22, MAPEI has added speed to its family of lightweight mortars for the installation of tile and stone. “Many of our customers have requested a fast-setting version of our MAPEI Ultralite Mortar that could provide the desired working properties the Ultralite technology has a reputation for delivering, with the added potential to grout in 3 to 4 hours,” said Brian Pistulka, MAPEI Business Manager for Tile & Stone Installation Systems. “Our answer is MAPEI Ultralite S1 Quick.”
MAPEI Ultralite S1 Quick is a single-component thin-set mortar that can also be used as a large-and-heavy-tile mortar for nonsag and nonslump applications of large-and-heavy-format tile and stone on walls and floors. It is rapid-setting, lightweight and easy to apply. MAPEI Ultralite S1 Quick is a FastTrack Ready™ product, allowing grouting in 3 to 4 hours. Thanks to its Ultralite Technology™, MAPEI Ultralite S1 Quick provides twice the coverage of a standard thin-set mortar per pound/kg; in addition, its Easy Glide Technology™ makes application easy and labor-saving for installers.
In addition to its ISO 13007 classification of C2TFS1P1, MAPEI Ultralite S1 Quick exceeds ANSI A118.4TF and ANSI A118.11 bond strength requirements. The product is also TCNA Green Squared Certified by SCS per ANSI A138.1.
MAPEI Ultralite S1 Quick will be available from MAPEI distributors in the first quarter of 2016.
