New Leadership Role at NECA Washington, D.C.


The Electrical Alliance, a cooperative of the Washington, D.C. Chapter of National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), Local 26 is pleased to announce Jonathan “JT” Thomas has been appointed to serve as Executive Director of the Washington, D.C. Chapter of NECA. As executive director, Mr. Thomas will lead the D.C. Chapter and work closely with the board of directors and IBEW Local 26 leadership, via trust funds operations and more.
JT comes to the D.C. Chapter after serving as the executive director of the Maryland Chapter for the past 10 years. Under his leadership, the chapter earned numerous membership recruitment and retainage awards as well as the Executive Director’s Membership Recruitment Award. Thomas has been involved with NECA for more than 12 years.
Throughout his career, Thomas has focused on building and maintaining strong labor-management relations and provided value-added services to NECA members. In this new role, he plans to maintain those objectives and build strong bonds among his new D.C. counterparts.
“We think JT is a great addition for our region and industry. We look forward to working with JT to continue the excellent NECA/IBEW partnership which our industry and its customers have greatly benefited from,” said George Hogan, Business, IBEW Local 26.
“I’m excited to join the D.C. Chapter of NECA.  I look forward to contributing my leadership, knowledge, and experience toward the advancement of The Electrical Alliance’s good work for the electrical industry,” said JT.
Thomas holds a Bachelor’s Degree in economics from Emory & Henry College.

Las Vegas casino-hotel opening Atomic Golf

The STRAT Hotel, Casino & Tower in Las Vegas will open Atomic Golf in late 2023. The four-story golf driving range will consist of over 100 hitting bays and food and beverages. KSNV-TV
