Guillaume Gentet , awardwinning American décorateurensemblier , is pleased to introduce a new collaboration with Imagine Tile for his debut in tile design. The first of the new tile series is Trellis , a threetoned tile with a largescale lattice pattern. With alternating dark and light hues, the 8inch by 8inch tile is now available to customize in other color variations and sizes.
“The tile brings a sense of dimension to what is traditionally thought of as a flat surface,” said Gentet. “I wanted to create a pattern that plays with the contrast of light and dark and is versatile for use in either traditional or contemporary settings.” Using a patented process, the commercially rated tile is stocked in a matte finish, suitable for indoor and
outdoor use, and contain no VOC’s. The product is also resistant to strong chemicals, UV lighting, and can contribute credits for obtaining LEED certification.
“Collaborating with designers is a great way for us to introduce a variety of new and relevant products that appeal to the residential, commercial and hospitality markets,” said Christian McAuley, president of Imagine Tile. “Guillaume has such a distinct aesthetic and creative vision this collection will be well received by consumers and designers alike.”
Trellis has already been installed in several projects including a residential kitchen in the Hamptons and the main, communal kitchen of Hope Lodge in New York City, a center which offers lodging at no cost for cancer patients being treated in Manhattan . Gentet remodeled the kitchen pro bono and Imagine Tile donated 800 square feet of tile for the floor and backsplash. Guillaume Gentet’s full collection will be unveiled throughout
2015 and will include a series of patterns that complement each other and can be mixed and matched.
Trellis is now available for special order.
