Tyler, Texas-based Brookshire Grocery will buy 25 former Wal-Mart Express stores in rural towns in Texas and Louisiana and open the stores under its new Spring Market banner, the company said. Brookshire, which operates 152 stores in the region, is looking to draw upon its roots on Tyler’s Spring Avenue with the new banner. Read The Dallas Morning News story here
