New York City architecture, design, and planning firm Montroy Andersen DeMarco (MADGI) has promoted Ajay Waghmare, LEED AP to Project Manager from Senior Job Captain. Waghmare joined MADGI as architect and designer in 2007 and has since worked on some of the firm’s most prominent retail, office, and hospitality projects. These included the historic renovation of the 21,000-sq.-ft. Rainbow Room on the 65th floor of 30 Rockefeller Plaza, the Camper flagship Fifth Avenue store in New York City, the 150,000-sq.-ft. headquarters of Givaudan Fragrance in East Hanover, N.J, and the 35,000-sq.-ft.U.S. Headquarters of Dentsu USA at 32 Avenue of the Americas in Lower Manhattan.
MADGI’s specialized studios serve multiple markets in the Greater New York area, including multi-family residential, office and corporate interiors, landlord services, retail, entertainment, restaurant, and hospitality. The company’s current projects are valued in excess of $500 million.

As Project Manager, Waghmare is responsible for the daily management of project production through all phases of design development, construction documents, and construction administration. His current projects, all in New York City, include the 120,000-sq.-ft. One World Trade Center Observation Deck retail and entertainment center, Jordache Enterprises Headquarters at 1400 Broadway, and several U.S. Polo Assn. stores.
Prior to joining MADGI, Waghmare worked in design capacities at NELSON and Ted Moudis Associates.
Waghmare holds a Master of Science degree in Facilities Management from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, N.Y. and a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Mumbai, K.R.V.I School of Architecture in Mumbai, India.
