Miron Construction Co., Inc., named construction manager of the Fox Cities Exhibition Center in Appleton, continues work on the landmark facility. Miron is working with Fentress Architects and Zimmerman Architectural Studios, Inc. on the estimated $32-million center. The project began in September 2016 and is scheduled to be complete in late 2017.
Miron’s scope of work on the project includes building 75,000 square feet of indoor space and a 17,000-square-foot outdoor plaza. Part of the building will be constructed below ground level, into the side of an existing hill, and will feature an approximately 82-foot spire that will emit light programmed to change color.
“We are extremely honored to have been selected and entrusted to deliver this truly community-focused project that will continue to define the Fox Cities for years to come,” said Tim Kippenhan, vice president and CEO of Miron Construction.
