Recent activity include Al Habtoor Group‘s purchase of the President Abraham Lincoln Hotel in Springfield, Ill., and a project by Jackson Street Management to convert a six-story office building in Milwaukee into a hotel. AC Hotels by Marriott has secured deals to open properties in Des Moines, Iowa, and Minneapolis, while Value Place Hotels has added three Minneapolis properties to its pipeline.
