Michael Fletcher joined BASF’s Center for Building Excellence in 2011. The Center for Building Excellence is a dedicated construction resource that provides strategic partners with a single point of access into BASF‘s global network and expertise. The team that Michael leads works with architects, engineers, and construction professionals, leveraging applied building science and chemistry to accelerate the adoption of sustainable, affordable solutions for design and construction challenges.
Michael graduated from the University of Florida in 1998 with a B.S. in Industrial Engineering and Sales Engineering Certificate and has been a LEED® Accredited Professional since 2004. He has held various positions in the construction materials industry, ranging from estimator and project manager to sales and management roles in Global 500 and multi-national companies.
Michael is currently on the Executive Board of the Design Futures Council, has previously served on the Board of the US Green Building Council’s NY Chapter, and has been nationally recognized for his efforts to promote sustainable development. He is actively engaged in industry initiatives focused on disclosure and transparency as it relates to
chemistry in building materials. A Colorado native and avid skier, Michael
has called the NY Metro area home since 2003, along with his wife Amy
and son Matthew.
