The Jamaica-based Sandals Resorts International is aiming for its first hotel outside the Caribbean. The firm is in talks to build a resort in Mexico’s Riviera Maya and is weighing expansion to islands in the Spanish, Dutch and French Caribbean, Chairman Butch Stewart said.
