Luminaut Acquires David Rausch Studio

Luminaut, the vibrant architecture and design firm with a portfolio that includes the award-winning Nostalgia Wine & Jazz Lounge, Courtyard by Marriot in the historic Ingalls Building, The Pitch, and the new Fountain Square headquarters for Divisions Maintenance Group, announced it has acquired David Rausch Studio, central Indiana’s distinguished boutique architecture and design team recently featured in Dwell magazine. This brings together two creative forces with a shared vision to create spaces that illuminate and inspire.

“Part of our commitment to excellence for our clients is fostering the growth of our staff. Our recent acquisition of David Rausch Studio allows us to expand our Indianapolis office with their extensive experience in hospitality and civic environments,” said Matt Erdman, Luminaut CEO. “We’re excited to bring on board this talented group of highly knowledgeable architects and designers.”

“This is an inspiring new chapter for myself and my team,” said David Rausch, “to join Luminaut at this time of growth will bolster our abilities to serve our clients and foster professional development for our team. With the resources now available to us, we’re poised to cultivate new connections and enhance our services in existing and long-standing relationships.”

Luminaut, based in Cincinnati, has seen sustained growth since the 2021 acquisition of Rowland Design, launching the firm’s Indianapolis presence. In the past 18 months, they have increased their technical staff by 40% and added leadership firm-wide, which has allowed them to identify and target new markets, implement new technologies, and streamline operations.

With the incorporation of David Rausch Studio in their Indianapolis office, Luminaut is positioned to expand its services, take on larger scale projects, and better serve clients with a broad network of industry experts and specialists.
