In an effort to get groceries to vulnerable seniors, Lidl is using its idled food truck for deliveries to the Virginia communities of Hampton, Norfolk, Yorktown and Chesapeake. The truck, which was used to offer food samples before the pandemic hit, will make free deliveries of essential groceries ordered from a list by seniors in select retirement communities.
