Celebrating this milestone at AHR Expo 2016, LG recognized a number of top contractors for their accomplishments. David Lewis from Mission A/C Home Services LLC in Houston was named the top contractor in the LG Excellence Rewards competition for registering the most units during the fall promotional period, and Jack Restivo from Restivo Heating and Air Conditioning in Johnston, R.I., was the LG Excellence Contractor fall promotion sweepstakes winner. These competition and sweepstakes elements of the LG Excellence Contractor Program give contractors the opportunity to earn valuable prizes from both LG and its partners, such as RIGID® Tools.

In addition to being a landmark growth year for the LG Excellence Contractor Program, LG also has expanded its portfolio of tools, software and resources available to its program participants, including:

• Upgrading its innovative LG Smart Inverter Monitoring System (SIMs) 2.0, which provides contractors with a convenient troubleshooting solution to support the maintenance of most LG duct-free split air conditioning systems. The monitoring device connects to the outdoor unit, sending real-time system data directly to the SIMs smartphone app.

• Opening a new flagship LG Learning Academy training facility, which acts as a central hub for the program’s series of formal, hands-on training sessions from industry-leading instructors. As an extension of its Excellence Contractors program, LG provides partnership on projects with contractors every step of the way to ensure successful, consistent and efficient installation, while educating and empowering contractors to become experts in application, design and LG’s technology in the field.

• Enhancing the LG Extended Warranty Service Contract program by providing an additional five years on parts and three years on compressors and enabling LG Excellence Contractors to offer consumers a 10/10 limited warranty on the installation of qualifying LG Home Comfort Solutions.

To enroll in the Excellence Contractor Program, contractors must be nominated by their local distributor or an LG sales manager, participate onsite in a local LG Contractor Opportunity meeting, attend a hands-on training class at an LG Training Academy and complete a series of online training courses on LG’s products and applications.
