LG Hausys’s HI-MACS® solid surface is introducing three new colors to its Strato collection. Inspired by the alluring dance of light and shadow found in nature, each new color features wavy horizontal patterns that bring a sense of serenity and visual curiosity. The wavy pattern effect can be breathtaking as it moves both horizontally (lengthwise) and vertically in two planes while elegantly sliding through and across the surface. LG Hausys pioneered the wavy effect using a patent-pending manufacturing process unique to the industry.
Ranging in hues from creams to dramatic grays, the new colors meet the latest design trends taking place within corporate, healthcare, education and hospitality environments. Because the wavelike movements run horizontally across the slab, the new colors can best be utilized for dramatic statement pieces such as a reception area countertop where the effect can be fully visualized.
The new colors are Strato Terra, Strato Slate and Strato Crème. Terra brings forth earth tones of warm and rich browns ranging from light to dark. Set against a soft, muted pattern, Terra creates a sense of comfort while fostering a feeling of closeness to nature, bringing a relaxed ambiance to any space. Reminiscent of weathered concrete created by many windswept days, Slate is a palette of cool, neutral and balanced shades of gray infused with slight hints of azure.
This deep and dramatic surface can serve as a backdrop to more vibrant colors, or it can make a statement all its own. Its flexibility can bring out the best in any space, from practical comfort to modern luxury. Light and smooth, Crème features a velvety surface and brings a touch of brightness to any space. Inspired by the radiant colors abundant on a sunny summer day, this pattern is infused with luscious, buttery ribbons that glisten against a subtle, fawn-toned background. This luminous surface can create an inviting space that complements any application – from traditional to contemporary.
The new Strato colors, like all HI-MACS colors, are available in 30” x 145” with ½” thickness. The colors join Strato’s other wavy color, Wind (introduced in early 2019), and Strato’s lineup of colors featuring a straight, linear effect: Strato Cloud and Strato Sand.
“The introduction of these new colors represents another step in LG Hausys’s ongoing commitment to technological product innovation,” said LG Hausys America Marketing Manager Carol Lee. “We’re proud to be a pioneer of this wavy pattern effect, and that the majority of these products are manufactured here in the U.S. at our state-of-art facility in northwest Georgia. The new colors offer multiple design possibilities – all at an affordable price point.”
With durability similar to that of natural stone, HI-MACS is manufactured to prevent against everyday wear and tear, and offers a high resistance to stains, chemicals and heat. Manufactured as a seamless and non-porous material, HI-MACS contains no crevices or surface irregularities, thus preventing harmful bacteria or mold from appearing. It does not require regular application of sealants or waxes against natural pits and cracks to maintain hygienic properties. HI-MACS’s 3-D thermoforming and translucent properties yield versatile design possibilities. It can be easily fabricated and can be heated and bent, enabling the product to meet the most challenging of 3-D designs. Made with sustainable material and an eco-friendly manufacturing process, HI-MACS is backed by LG Hausys’ 15-year transferable warranty.
