JLG Industries, Inc., an Oshkosh Corporation company [NYSE:OSK] and a leading global manufacturer of aerial work platforms and telehandlers, is supporting customers in the growing low-level access segment with a variety of solutions, including the award-winning JLG® EcoLift™ series.
Access, Lift & Handlers magazine named the JLG EcoLift a winner in the Product Innovation – Self-propelled/push-around AWPs under 20-feet of Platform Height category during the group’s annual conference. According to judges, “There’s a lot of interest for this type of product because people are moving away from ladder use. The EcoLift is power-free, with no oil, batteries or hydraulics, which means it will be long-lasting and eco-friendly. There are a lot of attributes to this machine that make it innovative: it’s totally manual, the wheels lock, it’s safe and a pretty cool little device.”
Introduced at The Rental Show 2016, the JLG® EcoLift 50 and EcoLift 70 give operators the confidence to tackle low-level tasks, like changing light bulbs, hanging décor or accessing HVAC ductwork.
“The light-weight, easier-to-use EcoLift provides an eco-friendly solution for the growing number of customers who are looking for a safe and more efficient alternative to ladders and scaffolding,” Paul Kreutzwiser, JLG Industries global director, scissor/verticals/low-level access category. “We are honored to receive this recognition, as it underscores our commitment to the low-level access market segments.”
The JLG EcoLift is virtually maintenance-free, thanks to a patented stored power lift/lower system that requires no batteries, hydraulics, oils, or controls. In addition, they are easy to operate, environmentally friendly, and provide working heights of 10 feet 11 inches and 13 feet 2 inches, respectively, by simply turning a handle to move the platform up or down. The lifts’ lightweight design makes them easy to push around a job site. Both models are rated for 330-pound capacity, leaving room for materials and tools to boost productivity. And, because there are no hydraulics or motors involved, the eco-friendly lifts are virtually silent, making them a preferred piece of equipment for finish work on construction sites or even as maintenance access equipment in schools, hospitals, and other institutions.
In addition to the EcoLift series, JLG’s low-level access solutions include the 830P push-around mast lift and LiftPod® personal portable lifts.
