Yujie (Jessica) Ding has joined Dow Corning Corporation – a global leader in silicones, silicon-based technology and innovation – as the company’s North American regional marketer for coatings and construction chemicals. Ding comes to Dow Corning from Chemtura Corporation, where she had worked in commercial and marketing roles in the industrial performance products and urethanes divisions.

In her role, Ding is responsible for deepening Dow Corning’s market understanding in the coatings and construction chemicals markets and for developing and implementing tactical marketing plans. She is based at Dow Corning’s Midland, Michigan, USA, headquarters.

“I enjoy working in the specialty chemical industry, and Dow Corning is one of the most innovative companies in the field,” Ding said.

Bringing a mix of technical, manufacturing and business experience to her new role, Ding holds a Ph.D. in polymer chemistry from the University of Connecticut and a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from Nanjing (China) University.

Dow Corning’s product offerings in construction chemicals for building materials protection include hydrophobic treatments, resin and binding products, and process aids. The company’s coatings solutions include performance-enhancing resins and additives with enabling technologies such as gloss enhancement, mar resistance and slip, impact deadening, UV resistance, feel and touch, heat and temperature resistance, water resistance, and anti-fouling.
