JE Dunn Construction has been selected as the construction manager for a new Agricultural Sciences Center for the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. The $107 million, 220,000-square-foot complex will consolidate five existing labs and accommodate about 200 department employees in a modern, energy efficient environment that accommodates advanced equipment and methods. The center will house offices and labs that perform tests for the department’s divisions of Food and Drug Protection, Standards, Structural Pest Control and Pesticides, Motor Fuels and Veterinary Diagnostics. The project is being constructed in a joint venture with TA Loving of Goldsboro, North Carolina. HH Architecture of Raleigh was selected to design the new laboratory complex. The project is scheduled for completion in late 2020.
