J.V. Manufacturing, Inc. of Springdale, AR  was named the recipient of the prestigious Governor’s Award for Excellence during the 20th Annual Awards Celebration for the Governor’s Quality Award Program on Monday evening, September 15th at the Marriott Hotel in downtown Little Rock, which was attended by more than 400 business and civic leaders from throughout the state of Aransas.  Arkansas Governor Mike Beebe presented J.V. Manufacturing, Inc. with the award
The Springdale based plant manufactures solid waste & recycling equipment, under the trade name of CRAM-A-Lot, for major retail chains as well as industrial and grocery companies worldwide.  The local plant employees 150 with a second plant in Conway, AR and a sales team, distributors network and service technicians nationwide.
The Governor’s Award for Performance Excellence is the highest level of recognition is presented to organizations that have demonstrated, through their practices and achievements, the highest level of performance excellence.
To qualify for the awards, companies must undergo a rigorous series of internal and external reviews from trained evaluators.  Recipients receive and in-depth evaluation of their management systems and feedback report citing strengths and areas for improvement.
The goal of the Governor’s Quality Award Program is to encourage Arkansas organizations to engage in continuous quality improvement, which leads to performance excellence, and to provide significant recognition to those organizations. More info at www.jv.com.
