Laminam, a global leader in the production of innovative porcelain surfaces, announces significant growth in North America meeting expansion goals set out in 2022. With a strong presence in both Canada and the United States, Laminam is rapidly establishing itself as a major player in the interior design market, celebrated for its exceptional quality, sustainability, and fabricator-friendly composition.

Exceptional Growth in Canada

Since beginning direct sales to fabricators in Canada in 2022, Laminam has seen remarkable growth. The number of active fabricator accounts has doubled in 2023 and continues to rise in 2024. This growth is supported by the establishment of distribution centers in Toronto, Calgary, Vancouver, and Montreal. The Toronto center, the largest, holds nearly ten thousand slabs in stock. Vancouver and Calgary together account for 35% of Canada’s available stock, while Montreal and Ottawa benefit from their proximity to Toronto, ensuring swift delivery of slabs from either Montreal or Toronto.

All distribution centers carry a consistent selection of Laminam’s 40 best-selling colors, available in three different thicknesses and multiple finishes, perfect for any project. According to Philip Eeles, President of Laminam North America, “In addition to the available stock in our distribution centers, we announce the opening of our new showroom in Toronto later this year. This space will not only provide a place for designers and consumers to get inspired and select surfaces for their projects, but it will also host various events and seminars, further enriching the customer experience.”

Expansion in the United States

Laminam’s presence in the United States has also been growing robustly. The Houston warehouse, which began operations early 2023, holds a stock of nearly four thousand slabs, serving the greater Houston metro area and supporting sales across the United States. In 2024, the number of new accounts has already doubled compared to 2023, reflecting our increasing market penetration and brand recognition. Statistics also point to the growing popularity of porcelain surfaces over other surface types, and Laminam is recognized as being the most fabricator friendly porcelain slab in the market, reflecting its superior quality in the category.

Innovative Solutions and Satisfied Customers

Laminam is committed to supporting its retail partners through a comprehensive display program for showrooms, ensuring that our products are prominently featured and accessible. The online purchasing portal, Click’n Cut has received high praise from fabricators for its user-friendly interface, which allows easy access to inventory and effortless ordering. The Customer Service team promptly replies to customers inquiries, ensuring swiftly communication and high satisfaction levels.

Fabricators have also expressed high satisfaction with Laminam’s surfaces, appreciating the superior quality, with no relief cuts necessary and fast cutting speeds, which makes the fabrication process much easier and faster when compared to competitors products in the market.

Laminam’s presence on Material Bank has resulted in thousands of samples shipped across North America to the Architectural and Design professionals, further extending our reach and influence in project specifications.

Partnerships and Sustainability

Strategic partnerships with key retailers have been pivotal in our growth. Notably, Automobili Lamborghini and Laminam proudly announced their worldwide collaboration to introduce Automobili Lamborghini Surfaces, premium surfaces designed for luxurious living spaces. This collection blends Laminam’s expertise in large slab production with Automobili Lamborghini’s signature design aesthetics, setting new standards of elegance and sophistication. Automobil Lamborghini Surfaces is set to be launched in North America by Fall 2024.

The launch of the twO, the revolutionary 2mm surface, is the thinnest large slab porcelain produced in the world, underscoring Laminam’s commitment to sustainability and innovation. This achievement is made possible only due to Laminam’s unique and innovative manufacturing process, offering environmentally friendly solutions without compromising on quality or aesthetics.
