Your restoration business relies on Injectidry systems. These tools are arguably the most important of all when it comes to water damage restoration. These state-of-the-art systems make it possible for technicians to help dry water-damaged structures fast and effectively, reducing the likelihood of mold growth or structural failure. Injectidry systems, however, because they are specialized equipment for unique purposes, in order to get it functioning properly and lasting a good long time, you’ve got to take care of the system. We hope to answer that question in this article, by showing you how to take care of your Injectidry equipment properly and everything it requires in order for the machines at peak condition whenever a call comes.

1. Regular Cleaning

While your business is up and running, one important consideration for the maintenance of both your walls and ceilings is regular cleaning. During this procedure, dirt and various contaminants can build up over time. The hoses, the injectors, and even inside of the central unit must be cleaned after each use.

Disconnect the hoses and injectors from the main unit initially. Wash out dirt and chemicals with plain water. Gently use mild detergent and a soft brush to remove sticky residue. Just be sure to rinse everything you use extremely well so that there are no soap residues which could affect the performance of your equipment. When done cleaning, let all parts air dry entirely before you reassemble the cleaner. This is done to avoid any growth of mold and mildew in the hoses or central unit.

2. Regular Inspection

Regularly checking your Injectidry equipment is the best way to discover potential issues before they grow into major problems. Inspect the entire system for wear before and after each use, especially the hoses and Injectors as these part are mostly spoilage.

Check the hoses for cracks, leaks, or evidence of deteriorations. If you find any damage, replace the effected parts immediately. You may decrease your Injectidry system’s efficiency if you operate with damaged hoses. Also, listen in for unusual noise and vibration. If you believe there’s a problem, refer to the manufacturer guidelines or reach out to one of our HVAC professionals.

3. Proper Storage

Proper storage of your Injectidry equipment is going to determine whether or not it lasts for a long time. After utilizing the tools, always keep in a cool, dry location to prevent moisture from rusting or creating mold. If possible, store the system in its original case or a protective bag to keep dust and other contaminate out off of it.

Do not store the hoses in such a way that it will cause kinks or permanent deformation, so avoid coiling too tightly. They should be loosely coiled and worn with a tie or strap between them. This will keep the hoses both flexible and usable. Also be sure to place the injectors, as well other small parts in a container for safe keeping.

4. Scheduled Maintenance

Just like standard cleaning and inspection, preventative maintenance should be part of a routine plan to ensure that your Injectidry is always operating at peak performance. Adhere to the maintenance plan recommended by your manufacturer, often causing more thorough examination, lubrication of mechanical components, and calibration for optimum system performance.

Of scheduled maintenance, focus on the internal components to be checked within the central unit. Examine the motor, fan, and electric connections for wear or damage. If your unit has a filter, it’s important to wash or replace it. Routine examination of these internals helps the system to work fine and also reduces any chances for sudden breakdown that can be very harmful, especially during crucial restoration activities.

5. Training and Usage Guidelines

Quality maintenance of your Injectidry equipment will also entail its proper usage. Make sure all operators are trained in operating and maintaining the system, Improper handling or misuse of the equipment can cause wear and tear, ultimately shortening system-life.

Ensure operators are aware of what the system can and cannot do. This includes not trying to use the Injectidry system beyond its intended capacity. Never exceed the number of injectors and hoses that can be used together by following the manufacturer’s recommendation.

Taking good care of your Injectidry equipment is important for keeping it in optimal condition. By following these guidelines, including regular cleaning and inspection, and storing things properly, you will have equipment you can depend on. Always remember, a little preventative maintenance goes a long way and can prevent the need for costly repairs /replacements down the road.
