HNTB names Bryan Jones president of the Mid-Atlantic Division

HNTB Corporation has named Bryan Jones president of the firm’s Mid-Atlantic Division. In this leadership role, Jones will oversee complex infrastructure programs, business operations, and lead more than 580 multi-disciplinary HNTB professionals serving Pennsylvania, Delaware, West Virginia, the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina.

“Bryan is a people-focused leader and strategic thinker who has consistently demonstrated a commitment to excellence in everything he does,” said Mike Sweeney, PE, president of HNTB’s Eastern Region. “That dedication and commitment to excellence is key to supporting the division’s professionals as they continue to deliver success for their clients and their communities.”

Jones, a 17-year industry veteran, most recently served as office leader for HNTB’s Gulf Coast office covering Louisiana and Mississippi, achieving significant year-over-year growth. Jones joined HNTB in 2007 and held numerous management, sales, and strategic planning positions. Before HNTB, he worked for another engineering firm in public and governmental affairs.

“I am thrilled to collaborate with the highly skilled team in the Mid-Atlantic division to deliver exceptional service to our valued clients,” Jones said.

Jones played a pivotal role in raising awareness and funding for education programs through industry organizations such as the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials, where he led HNTB’s match of two endowed scholarships that celebrate diversity and equity in the industry. Jones is a founding board member of the Louisiana Coalition to Fix Our Roads, a nonprofit, statewide organization that advocated for increased revenue to fund improvements to the state’s roads and bridges and he has served on several transition teams for the mayors of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and the governor of Louisiana providing guidance on areas of transportation, education and storm recovery.

He chairs the legislative committee for the American Council of Engineering Companies of Louisiana, and he has previously served on the board of commissioners for the Capital Area Transit System. Jones received a political communications degree from Louisiana State University.
