H&M plans to build its largest global store in New York’s Herald Center, located across the street from Macy’s. The 63,000-square-foot, four-level flagship will open in fall 2014. A modern 300-foot wraparound glass façade will replace the black glass covering the exterior of the first three floors of Herald Center. The Herald Center store is part of H&M rapid expansion plans in the United States. Earlier this year, the retailer said it planned to open 10 stores in cities such as Chicago; Washington, D.C., New Orleans and Honolulu.
