The upscale Foundry Hotel in The Block neighborhood of Asheville, N.C., is a historic preservation of the city’s former 20th-century steel foundry as part of the Charlestowne Hotels and Curio Collection by Hilton. The 87-room, 12-suite property meshes two new structures with three buildings from the foundry and retains its historic flavor with original brick and hardwood floors, exposed beams, industrial-style windows and the display of a former pulley elevator.
