For our Spring 2016 campaign, Carhartt partnered with Madison Bumgarner again, but this time for a cause. For every strikeout he records, Carhartt will donate $500 to Helmets to Hardhats. Over his seven-year career, he has averaged 212 strikeouts per season, and we’re happy to partner with our friend again this season for such a great cause.
As a company that builds product for hardworking trades and craftspeople, Carhartt is proud to support a group that connects military service members and veterans with skilled training in a building trades union apprenticeship and a career in the construction industry. Everyone deserves the chance at landing a quality career—especially those who have served our country.
THOSE WHO FIGHT FOR OUR COUNTRY SHOULDN’T HAVE TO FIGHT TO FIND A JOB
What is H2H?
Helmets to Hardhats (H2H) is a national, nonprofit program that connects military service members and veterans with skilled training in a building trades union apprenticeship and a career in the construction industry. The program is designed to help military service members successfully transition back into civilian life by offering them the means to secure a quality career in the construction industry. It’s more than just job placement, it is career guidance and training that provides candidates with an opportunity to build sustainable skillsets in our society.
How does a candidate work with H2H to become successful?
H2H works closely with over 15 trade unions and 10 associations and corporations to source job openings for candidates. Once workers become a member in a building and construction trade and they work hard, they are entitled to a future with high pay, great medical insurance and one of the best pension plans in the nation. Our partnership with H2H provides an authentic connection to unions and further strengthens Carhartt’s commitment to American workers by supporting US manufacturing jobs.
How is Carhartt supporting H2H?
Carhartt became a proud supporter of Helmets to Hardhats in 2014. By the end of 2015, Carhartt and its partners donated over $175K in cash and product to support the efforts of H2H.
