Tampa Bay recently outpaced Phoenix to lead the nation in housing price increases. Tampa area prices continue to rise even as 30 metro areas nationwide saw housing prices go down this July. Contributing to the health of the Tampa Bay housing market is a steady migration from the Northeast to Florida. As COVID-19 freed more people to work remotely, new Gulf Coast of Florida residents are choosing a warmer climate and more relaxed lifestyle.

Buyers in the affluent real estate market of Tampa Bay want luxury living, but COVID-19 brought attention to critical health factors. Affluent buyers are aware of the risks of living in densely populated areas or in condominiums with recycled air.
